While We Can

Life is full of uncertainties.

“So, let’s do it while we can,” I firmly told myself… once again!

I will be the first to admit that I am not a good singer, nor a good keyboard player. But I am deeply grateful for the talents God gave me, no matter how “so-so” they might seem right now. Baka gumaling pa! Habang may buhay, may pag-asa. 😄

There is a praise song that says: “Give and it will come back to you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over…” I find myself interpreting those words from a slightly different perspective these days. 😉

Instead of focusing on the worries of not being able to do something perfectly, I just want to nurture what I can do and what I already have—the gifts of time, talent, and treasure—and share them with family, friends and others as my way of giving back to God. ❤️🙏🏼

However, at this specific point in time, I have to admit that maybe I was not yet ready to serve directly in the community. God’s timing will always be perfect.

📋 Postscript — August 2026

I originally wrote this in the middle of the pandemic, during a season when I felt emotionally unready to return and serve in the community—even years before that. I did step up to play the keyboard and sing for community’s online worship sessions (only audio used) but I still didn’t come back.

It finally happened in 2026.

God’s timing really is perfect.
